About 60sIndia
60sIndia (60 Seconds India) explains India's most important news every morning in about 60 seconds, in English and Hindi. Each edition has 6 to 8 stories. Every story gives you the full timeline of how it developed, explains the difficult terms inside it, offers a 3-minute deeper read, and adds exam notes and a likely exam question for students preparing for UPSC, SSC, banking, railways and state PSC exams. A 60-second quiz each day helps you remember what you read. 60sIndia is free to read.
How we make our stories
- From reliable sources. Every story is based on a named source, linked on the story: official sources such as government releases, regulators (RBI, SEBI, the Election Commission), courts and Parliament, or established news organisations.
- Written in our own words. We explain the news; we don't copy it. Background facts in timelines and exam notes are drawn from the public record.
- Checked before publishing. Each story must pass a 13-point newsroom checklist, and a fact-checker verifies every number, name and date against the source before the story is approved for the day's edition.
- Use of AI. We use AI tools to help draft, translate and design. People on our team decide what to cover, and every story is checked against its source before it is published.
- Two languages, same facts. The English and Hindi versions of a story carry the same facts.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we correct it on the story itself and show a dated correction note, so readers can see what changed. To report an error, write to our grievance officer below and include the story link.

Privacy
To run the app we store your name, exam goal, language, streak and quiz answers. To improve 60sIndia we measure how the site is used (pages visited, stories read, quizzes played, device type and where visits come from) with PostHog, an analytics service that stores this data in the United States; we don't send it your email or name. We never sell your data, and you can delete your account at any time from your profile.
