Andhra Pradesh releases ₹3,125 crore to 46.85 lakh farmer families under Annadata Sukhibhava
In 60 seconds: Andhra Pradesh has released the second instalment of 2026-27 under the Annadata Sukhibhava–PM Kisan scheme, worth ₹3,125.47 crore, to 46,85,838 farmer families, Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu said. The state pays ₹2,342.92 crore and the Centre ₹782.55 crore. Each eligible family gets ₹20,000 a year, ₹14,000 from the state and ₹6,000 from PM-KISAN, in three instalments.
Why it matters
Direct cash before the rabi sowing season helps farmers buy seed and fertiliser without costly loans. It also shows how states can build on a central scheme with their own money.
